Taking a Breath after OWB

The past week has been a whirlwind for me.  Last Thursday was the start of one of my favorite events- One Week Boutique.  It is a children's consignment sale that takes place twice a year in Champaign-- in spring/summer and again in fall/winter.  When OWB comes to town, I am there as much as I am physically able. Thankfully, my mom, mother-in-law and husband pitch in to help the family side of my life run smoothly for a week, while I am out surrounded by tons of other moms, working hard, but having a great time!

I love so many things about this sale, but I narrowed it down to just a few.  In no particular order, here are some of the things I love about One Week Boutique:

Number 1: I can clean out my house, garage and kids' closets and get paid to do it.  I end up with more space and money in my pocket-- win-win-win!

Number 2: I meet all kinds of great people.  The sale runs smoothly because of the help of amazing volunteers. Many of those volunteers come back sale after sale, and after spending several days in one week with the same people, you get to know them pretty well.  As a matter of fact, just this morning, I exchanged numbers with a mom who recently moved to my town who I met through OWB.  We're planning to grab coffee and set up a play date for our kids!

Number 3: I can watch my money grow-- everything I choose to sell is entered into the system online.  After each day of the sale, the sold items are uploaded and I can see what has sold and what hasn't.

Number 4: I find great deals for my kids.  A majority of their clothing comes from OWB.  We find name brand items in excellent shape for considerably less than what I would pay in stores.

How about you?  I know many of you were shopping or consigning this sale-- what is your favorite part?
